After producing music for several years on a four track tape recorder, Michael Phillips collaborated with David Taylor to produce this first album which blends classic songwriting with psychedelic indie experimentalism.

Most of the album was recorded on four track, but was mixed digitally, and several of the tracks featured digital overdubs courtesy of David Taylor.

The album was resequenced in 2009, and the tracks that did not have any digital overdubs were restored to earlier analog mixes. This 20th anniversary edition is completely remastered for (slightly) better sound quality. The tracks without overdubs were digitally remixed and restored from the original four track tapes.
